Je Ju Korean Bathhouse in GEORGIA

Good evening Atlanta!  It’s another rainy day here in the A and I as I sit on my bed pondering what to write about I thought about what I would rather be doing! lol… I thought about one of my favorite places to go…JeJu Wellness Spa in Duluth, GA. Now… I do not mind driving away from midtown from time to time, especially if it is for some much-needed R&R. The city, your job, family, or life as we know it can just wear us out! You have to remember to take some time out for yourself and release your mind and body of all the toxins and negativity we sometimes embody.

Most of my supporters know by now that I am completely a night owl and don’t normally rise until about lunchtime! Great thing about JeJu is that it’s open 24 hours seven days a week! That means you pay $25 bucks for a 24 hours access to all the facilities! The “free” facilities include both gender specific and co-ed saunas. Once you leave you must pay again to re-enter. Please understand the $25 dollars does not include extra services; such as scrubs and massages! That is strictly your entrance fee and allows you a uniform: a shirt and shorts (that are God awful but do the job), a toothbrush, and numbered key fobs. The fobs are great because you don’t have to walk around with your wallet and pay for food, or extra services. All of that is handled upon checkout.

So I prefer to go to JeJu with close friends! Preferably female friends because its great bonding time, and you will be in the nude! Oh geez… whoever just freaked out while reading.. don’t!!! If you are comfortable in your own skin you will be just fine. Women are not staring you down or trying to get at you lol! It is actually an interesting experience. In other cultures it is very normal to bring your kids to the bath houses and to do activities similar to this as a family. So all are welcome!

Ok! So the area below is connected to your gender specific locker room. Inside are 3 whirlpools of with 3 different temperatures; ice-cold,warm, and hot. I WISH someone would have told me this because I completely missed the sign above it that said FREEZING! COLD! Along with the whirlpools there is a bathing area with stand up and sit-down showers, dry sauna, steam room and two rooms for massages! Let’s not forget the other two rooms most people come for! The Body Scrub Zone and the Hip Bath room!

The body scrub has to be the one service I rave about most! I have never felt so clean in my entire life! Keep in mind most of the women providing the service do not speak the best English but the manager on duty is normally around and you can feel free to ask her to relay any message you are trying to convey.

On top of that they have beautiful saunas!

Whether its a rainy day, ladies or men’s retreat, or just some special “you” time this is one of those places you have to visit just once!

WhyTheA? Because we have Korean Bathhouses! 🙂

Please let me know if you liked it!?

We All Scream for IceCream🍦

20140429-211036.jpg

As a child it was ritual to go to the ice-cream parlor in Chestnut Hill every weekend! When you walked inside the smell of all the fresh cold ice-cream just make you feel like you were in Willy Wonka’s Factory! Well I absolutely got that feeling when walking into Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams! Jeni’s gives me a modern twist with a classic parlor like feel. The staff was very friendly, helpful and the establishment was very clean.

Now honestly I am normally a Cold Stone girl but this might be my new spot. It is great for dates, as a meet up spot, or a nice afternoon outing! It’s perfect basically!
So please check it out and tell them BrandeElise from WhyTheA sent you 🍦🍨🍧🍰🎂🍪🍦🍨

What’s Zifty?!

Zifty is only the most brilliant service ever to be created! Well… just as comparable to a little business called Campus Beer that delivered beer and kegs right to your door at my alma mater, Bloomsburg University. Talk about convenient! OK back to ZIFTY! When I moved to Midtown Atlanta from outside the perimeter (outside of the city of Atlanta) I was so excited to be only five to ten minutes away from all my favorite restaurants and bars. But sometimes in life we get lazy and it rains and we want to do absolutely nothing! I was so tired of ordering chinese food and pizza I was convinced that I was going to starve to death! LOL! Until I discovered Zifty!

Only the most convenient service ever! So WHY ZIFTY?

  • Great food from neighborhood restaurants
  • Over 9,000 DVDs for rent
  • Snacks, desserts, sodas & juices
  • Personal care products & medicines
  • Top magazines at below cover prices
  • Delivery in about an hour, or you can pick up food yourself
  • And much more!

“It’s like having your own personal concierge!”

So check out Zifty and order me something from Corner Tavern Edgewood or StirITUP!

Enjoy this lovely rainy day and order some REAL food!
